Today morning, following your breakfast at the Munnar hotel/resort, pack your bags and check-out from the hotel/resort. Hereafter, you will be driven towards the gorgeous Thekkady, located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Following your arrival in the town, settle down in a hotel/resort and relax for a while. Post this, embark on a rustic tour to the Periyar National Park, a protected reserve forest, which is home to a stunning variety of flora and fauna. It is bound to wake up and give pleasure to the nature lover in you. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. Close to Periyar National Park is the Periyar Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in India. A singularity of this land is the region called KUTTANAD, a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the World where farming is done below sea level. Later we proceed for some local sightseeing in Alleppey : Vembanad Lake, Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja temple, Coir Weaving Industry( Boat Charges own cost) and Alleppey Beach.
